In HASS we are investigating Africa and South America and making use of the libraries Atlas’s to do this. One of our students has been to Africa and they brought in photos of their trip to enhance our learning. In Science we have been learning about Life Cycles of animals, insects and plants. We even grew some beans in cotton wool (except for a few that didn’t germinate- yet).
In Religion we have celebrated Shrove Tuesday and are currently learning about Lent. We’ve had an early start to learning about the Crucifixion of Jesus as we prepare (with Mrs Martin) to present the Stations of the Cross performance soon to the whole school.
We have been enjoying art lessons with plenty of painting and drawing making 3 class jigsaws all about ourselves and selfie pictures on an iphone template. We also made some pictures of dandelions that we are blowing the little seedlings off called, Make a Wish. Most of us wished for Covid19 to disappear and others wished for a great year ahead, as well as a couple of requests for unicorns!
We have so much more to learn this year and are all very excited!
