We are super excited to announce that the Year1/2 KL and1/2 MO classes will be moving into the new classrooms from the start of Term 4. The new Arts Studio will be used for Performing Arts lessons with Mrs Martin and will be available for all classes to use weekly. The upstairs Learning Common and lower level Learning Deck are also available for all classes to use. I wish to thank our School Board and our whole school community for your patience and understanding during the Stage 01 Building process. I am so proud of our wonderful new facilities and can’t wait to take you on a tour!
Given the current COVID restrictions we will be offering small group tours which will be held on Monday 12th October, Tuesday 13th October & Wednesday 14th October @ 9am and 2pm. We will take groups of ten and bookings are essential. These tours are for Parents and Carers of enrolled students. To book your spot call Lee-Anne B on 8382 2064.
Accessing the School Site
This is an important reminder that under current restrictions, no parents/caregivers are permitted to enter the school buildings (unless this has been pre-arranged for special reasons).
Should you need to enter the school site or collect your child/ren during the school day, please call the office on 8382 2064 and we will arrange for your child to meet you in the front office.
Social Media Accounts
As we approach the school holidays, we wanted to remind you that there is a minimum sign up age for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube.
This is because a child’s social and emotional capability is still developing which can make it more difficult to identify and manage challenges that occur on a platform designed for adults and teens. If your child is under 13 and keen to use social media, consider their capability to manage potential online challenges before setting up a profile. It is better your child is honest with you as you can help them to stay safe online.
Check this site https://www.esafety.gov.au/parents/skills-advice/are-they-old-enough for more information on things to consider before letting your children sign up to social media.
2020 Out of Hours Soccer & Netball
Thank you to Kelly for her time and effort for coaching our girl’s U13 netball team. We played a great season, well done to all the girls.
Thank you to Chrissy (St John’s soccer delegate) for all her work coordinating with the coaches and to all our fantastic parent coaches it was a short but fun season and the children thoroughly enjoyed the games. Once again St John’s soccer season can’t happen without the support of our families.
Thank you to Justin Marsh our school Sports coordinator for getting this year’s soccer & netball season up and running despite all of the COVID restrictions.
