Grandparents Day was a great way to kick off Term 4! It was very special having our Grandparents and Special Persons come to school. The 5/6 students made some delicious ‘Chocolate Coconut Bites’ for their special guests to enjoy and had the opportunity to perform a few songs.
Term 4 also brought the much awaited Sports Day! Sports Day was an absolute highlight as the 5/6 unit participated as the senior students of the school. Everyone had a go, displayed awesome sportsmanship and cheered on their peers. Everyone had a massive smile across their face and it was an energetic and high spirit day!
In week 3 the 5/6 students travelled to Cardijn to participate in the annual Cardijn Cup. Students elected to participate in the Netball, Soccer and Football competitions. Everyone had such a great day and demonstrated fantastic team spirit throughout the entire competition. The day was highly successful with some amazing achievements. Georgia was awarded the MVP of the netball competition, Shane and Dan were picked in the top 3 of the Soccer with Shane taking away the MVP medal, and the girls’ netball teams brought back a Trophy for placing top overall school in the Netball competition.
This term the year 6 students presented their Pantomime ‘Dorothy’s Adventure’ and WOW, what a performance! 8 weeks of practice, countless hours of rehearsal, plenty of laughs and lots of nerves brought an amazing performance by all. Congratulations to the year 6’s on their big efforts!!
In week 8 the year 5 students had the chance to meet and hang out with the Adelaide Crows for a ‘Growing with Gratitude Day’, how fantastic! The students got to meet the players, learn some footy techniques and drills, had a look around and listened to a few inspirational talks at West Lakes. It was a fabulous day and the students came home happy, inspired and exhausted!
